banana cake with vanilla buttercream frosting

DESCRIPTION
their flavor is rich and their texture is moist and dense. and when you top each cupcake with a smooth creamy cheese frosting, my sweet tooth is instantly satisfied. the cake doesn't rise much so it has a nice flat top for presentation. as you can see i've made 2 different cream cheese deco- swirl and spikey, as i'd call it. we served the cake at room temperature and topped each cupcakes with a little crushed walnuts. yummo!

while i enjoy bananas flavored with ground cinnamon in a banana bread, my favorite banana dessert is these banana cupcakes.
