chocolate, chocolate, and toasted hazelnut is what these cakes are all about! this rich devil's food cake was inspired by nutella.
when i was a kid, i used to be sooooo crazy about nutella! nutella on bread, nutella on crisps, nutella on spoon, so yummo! and then i wondered, if nutella and cake would be a perfect match?!
with a nutella jar sitting in my pantry waiting to be savoured, i started experimenting this ever delicious spread in the hope i could turn it into incredibly-smooth-not-so-sweet frosting for my yummy chocolate mud cake.
guess what??! i was very pleased with the results. it's actually great for frosting. not just on cakes but cookies too. I further experimented it on my brownie cake, even better! no one will ever guess these cakes of mine started in a jar!
so do try this divine chocolate mud cake finished with delicious chocolate hazelnut frosting and crushed hazelnut pieces on top! simply divine!
